Here's How To Read, Send, And Search For Emails Without The Internet With Google's Offline Gmail

The most widely used postal service available is probably mail. Gmail has more than 1.8 billion users and accounts for 18% of the global market for email clients as of last year. Even more so, around 75% of users access Gmail on their mobile devices. Google has now made it possible to shut down Gmail in light of this.

Users will now be able to read, reply to, and search their Gmail messages even when they aren't connected to the internet, claims the Mountain View, California-based software giant. This is a ground-breaking innovation from Google that will be especially useful in distant locations with poor access or no internet. Users only need to follow a few straightforward steps to enable Gmail offline. As follows:

  • Visit mail.google.com now. According to Google, Gmail offline will only function on Google Chrome and only while you are browsing in regular mode rather than Incognito.
  • Click the Settings or Cogwheel button when you are in your inbox.
  • Simply select "See All Settings."
  • Click the "Offline" tab once you are on the page.
  • Select the checkbox next to "Enable offline mail." Gmail will display new settings as soon as you check the box.
  • You can choose how many days' worth of emails to sync with your Gmail account.
  • Google provides you with the option of preserving offline data on your computer or deleting all offline data from it, as well as the amount of space that is still available on your machine.
